Silage-free milk

For silage-free milk, the cows are fed according to the seasons. They receive silage-free (or “silage-free”) – i.e., not ensiled or fermented – feed made from grass or maize. The difference compared to Heumilch is that farmers do not have their farms ‘Heumilch-certified’, and this milk may therefore not be labelled as ‘Heumilch’. Both approaches not only support animal welfare, environmental protection and biodiversity
, but also yield a high-quality raw material for cheese production.
